Meier Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity in the workplace. We do not discriminate based on gender, marital status, age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or disability, and we aim to provide fairness and equity for all applicants.
Meier Partners is seeking long-term student interns who are familiar with our work and the design principles that shape it. Ideal candidates are passionate about physical model-making and understand the importance of handcraft as part of the architectural design process. We value individuals who exhibit meticulous attention to detail and a varied set of design experiences.
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, D5 Render, and Adobe Creative Suite is expected on the software front. However, these are just tools. We are looking for someone with an informed and curious sensibility: an intern with real-world experience or a genuine interest in how things work and how they are crafted.
As an intern, you will work directly with design teams, assisting in creating study and presentation models. You will also support other studio-related tasks as needed. It is essential that you are fully immersed in the design process through model-making and close collaboration with the entire office.
Our teams are built around a small core group of intelligent, resourceful individuals empowered to make things happen. Good ideas are welcome from everyone - step up and make a place for yourself.
Qualifications
– Currently pursuing a degree in architecture
– 0 - 3 years of architectural office experience; familiar with studio environments
– Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus
– Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, D5 Render, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Revit is a plus.
– Strong background in handcraft, with minimal reliance on laser cutters and 3D printers
– Must be authorized to work in the United States (we can assist with obtaining appropriate work authorization, if needed)
