The museum will focus mainly on Korean modern artists from the 20th Century and other contemporary and modernist artists who developed work in relationship with Korean art. The architectural design pays homage to their heritage of Korean Confucianism and their philosophy of art through its simplicity of form, materiality, and composition, and its harmonious relationship to nature.
