This proposed 8-star luxury hotel is located on an island site within Tianjin Shining Star Group’s exclusive development known as “The World.” The project houses 31 guest suites alongside state-of-the-art spa facilities and a fully appointed Fitness Center.
The hotel’s suites are located within two complementary volumes, an east wing and a west wing, which join together to create a dynamic composition stretching across the island. These two volumes are connected by a dramatic top-lit atrium, which soars upward for 18 meters. The interplay of light and shadow created within this space is experienced from every level of the hotel. The guest suites are generously sized and feature bathrooms with steam and sauna facilities and soaking tubs with views to the outdoors. The hotel’s amenities include a restaurant, private dining suite, bar, library, and business center, as well as a gallery overlooking the gardens and waterfront designated for special functions and a rooftop terrace.
A crystalline structure situated at the west end of the island houses the Fitness Center. Echoing the two wings of the hotel, the Fitness Center and swimming pool are also composed of two volumes integrated together, juxtaposing the solid and the transparent and, through a direct link to the guest suites via a covered bridge, completing the natural flow of spaces across the site.
